Dismissal from Class
A. Any teacher or administrator shall have the right to dismiss any pupil for the balance of any class period in which the behavior of the student disrupts the class. Notice of dismissal shall be given by the teacher to the administration which shall notify the parent.
B. The principal’s office will discipline those students which the classroom teacher is unable to handle. Therefore, any student brought to the principal will be considered a serious problem and will be handled as such. The following procedure will be followed:

(1) The parents will be called by telephone at the time the student is brought to the office and informed that their child is in trouble and has been removed from the classroom.
(2) The teacher will list in writing and present to the principal the reasons the student has been brought to the office.
(3) The student will list in writing the reasons he has been sent to the principal’s office.
(4) The student will remain under the principal’s supervision for the remainder of the period.
(5) A record of the incident will be kept and all reports and recommendations filed in an appropriate file to be established for such purposes.
(6) Upon the second occurrence to the principal’s office, the above procedures will be followed with the exception that the parents will be requested to meet with the teacher, student and principal.

Driving of Cars During School Hours or School

A. Cars and Motorcycles
Students who drive cars and motorcycles please use the parking lot east of the school. The area in front of the high school has been reserved for visitors and faculty members. Please drive carefully. Motor vehicles are not to be driven during school time. No parking in front of the kitchen delivery door.

Release of Pupils During School Session

A. Pupils shall not be permitted to leave the school during the school day except upon request of the parent or guardian.
B. Teachers shall not be permitted to send pupils on errands which take them away from the school grounds without prior consent of the principal.




Lockers/Drug Sniffing Dogs Policy

Student lockers are the property of the school and are provided for their use by the school. They should be used to house a student’s textbooks and other school materials when they are not in use, and any coats, overshoes, or other outdoor garments.
Student lockers are subject to inspection for cleanliness, for missing items, for controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco or for weapons or items considered potentially harmful to any individual. The Principal or his/her designate may enter the locker at any time.
Dogs (drug-sniffing) trained in detecting and finding illegal substances may be used in searching student lockers. Drug-sniffing dogs may also be sued to search vehicles or other items that are brought on to school property or to a school sponsored event.
